Support Responses and Formal Petitions

A response submitted through the Show My Support form is a nonbinding expression of community support. It is not a vote, contract, commitment to pay, approval of an assessment, or signature on a formal statutory petition.

If you select the option asking to be contacted about a future formal petition, the Township or an authorized representative may use your contact information to notify you if and when a petition is approved for circulation. You will have an opportunity to review the actual petition before deciding whether to sign it.

Requesting contact does not obligate you to sign a petition.

Public Display of Supporters

The Township will not intentionally display your property address, mailing address, telephone number, email address, parcel number, or electronic signature on the public website.

Your name will be displayed publicly as a supporter only if you provide express permission. Even when information is not displayed on the website, it may remain part of a Township record and may be subject to disclosure as explained below.

Michigan Public Records

Information submitted to Pulaski Township may become a public record under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act and other applicable laws.

The Township cannot promise that information submitted through this website will remain confidential. If the Township receives a lawful public-records request, it will review the responsive records and disclose, withhold, or redact information as permitted or required by law.

Certain information of a personal nature may qualify for an exemption, but exemptions are determined under the circumstances of the particular request. This Privacy Policy does not expand or limit any person’s rights or the Township’s obligations under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act.

When Information May Be Shared

The Township may share information with:

  • Township officials and authorized personnel

  • Project engineers, attorneys, communications providers, website administrators, and other contractors performing work for the Township

  • Jackson County, the Village of Concord, funding agencies, regulators, or other public bodies involved in evaluating or administering the project

  • Technology providers that host, secure, process, or support the website and its forms

  • Law-enforcement agencies, courts, or other parties when disclosure is required or authorized by law

  • Persons requesting public records when disclosure is required under applicable law

Contractors and service providers should receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their authorized work.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies to operate its websites. These may include:

  • Necessary cookies that support security and essential website functions

  • Analytics or performance cookies that help the Township understand website traffic and usage

  • Cookies associated with embedded services or third-party content, if those features are used

Visitors may be able to manage nonessential cookies through the website’s cookie banner or their browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect the operation of certain website features.

The Township does not use information collected through this website for targeted commercial advertising.

Email and Project Updates

If you request project updates, the Township may use your email address or telephone number to send significant project information, meeting notices, or related communications.

You may ask to stop receiving optional project communications by following any unsubscribe instructions provided or by contacting the Township. An opt-out request does not require the Township to delete records it must retain or prevent communications required for official governmental purposes.

Records Retention

The Township may retain website submissions and related communications according to applicable Michigan record-retention requirements, Township policies, project needs, litigation holds, and other legal obligations.

Information will not necessarily be deleted merely because a person withdraws support, requests removal from a contact list, or stops receiving project updates.

Data Security

The Township and its service providers use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or misuse.

No website, email system, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information that the Township has not requested.

This website may link to websites operated by other governmental entities, agencies, consultants, or third parties. Pulaski Township does not control the privacy practices or content of external websites. Visitors should review the privacy policies applicable to those services.

Children’s Privacy

This website provides public information about a municipal infrastructure project and is not directed toward children under 13. The Township does not knowingly request personal information from children through the project support form.

Your Choices

You may contact the Township to:

  • Correct contact information you previously submitted

  • Change your project-notification preferences

  • Withdraw a request to be contacted about a future petition

  • Withdraw permission to display your name publicly

  • Ask questions about how information submitted through the website is used

These requests remain subject to public-records, retention, legal, and administrative requirements. Removing information from a public webpage does not necessarily delete the underlying Township record or copies that may already have been lawfully disclosed.
